Who we are

Omicsy is built by computational biologists who have lived the friction it removes — scaling omics workflows, governing research data, and translating complex datasets into insight.

  • Antton Alberdi. Co-founder & computational biologist — scientific vision, microbial ecology, and the methodological foundations of metagenomics.
  • Ostaizka Aizpurua. Co-founder & data systems & product — research-grade software, data governance, and user-centred design.

03 — Behind the platform

ZIBA Science Resources

Omicsy is built by ZIBA Science Resources, founded on a simple conviction: researchers deserve infrastructure that works for them — so that ambition, not logistics, sets the pace of discovery.

  • 2017 — Founded. Established to bridge scientific ambition and operational reality.
  • 2018–2025 — Facilities & team. A wet-lab, then a full research facility, then ecologists, bioinformaticians, and engineers under one roof.
  • 2026 — Omicsy launches. Cloud-native, publication-ready omics pipelines for researchers everywhere.

Privacy

We collect only what is needed to run the platform and your workspaces — and your research data always stays yours.

  • Your data stays yours. Datasets are processed only to run the jobs you request.
  • Payments via Paddle. Paddle is the merchant of record — we never see your card details.
  • GDPR rights. Access, correction, deletion, and portability on request; a DPA for organisations.

Terms of Service

The terms govern access to Omicsy workspaces, datasets, storage, computational jobs, credits, documentation, and APIs.

  • Operated by ZIBA Science Resources SL, an enterprise based in the Basque Country.
  • For professional research use. You keep all rights to the data and outputs you create.
  • Credits via Paddle. One-time purchases; unused credits are transferable. Governed by the laws of Spain.
